Nautical lenses are available in progressive and single vision versions and will accompany you as you conquer the high seas. The Nautical series was specially developed for extreme sunlight and its reflection on the water. A special coating also effectively reduces any risk of damage resulting from splashes on the lens. Nautical lenses also boast a special graduation tint design that combines effective protection from the sun with contrast optimization.

Variovid Nautical lenses are tailored to the specific needs of sailing enthusiasts with presbyopia. They make it easier to quickly switch back and forth between perspectives – an eye on the compass, a quick mainsail check and monitoring the swells – which is so important on the high seas.
Monovid Nautical lenses expand peripheral vision and guarantee the skipper a precise, clear view at all times.
Optimal protection from the sun
The sun can be very bright on the high seas and reflection can be extremely exhausting on the eyes. Nautical lenses offer the benefit of a Leica Eyecare Anti-reflection coating combined with special twofold UV protection.
These protective layers are reinforced particularly in the upper and lower sections of the lens (index 4) and weaker in the middle.
The graduation tint design of Nautical lenses offers outstanding protection from sunshine in the distance and reflection on the water in the near, while maintaining a brighter view in the middle.
Aquadura® Pro coating for splash protection
The lenses of a sailing enthusiast are subjected to a high degree of moisture and salt, which can scratch the surface. Thanks to Leica Eyecare’s Aquadura® Vision Pro coating, Nautical lenses can withstand water and are incomparably resistant to scratches.
The Aquadura® coating technology has been used for decades primarily to protect Leica binoculars, whose optical components are subjected to the effects of water, dirt and damage.
This comprehensive protective coating is now also used on Nautical lenses.

Leica Eyecare frees you from the everyday concerns of a spectacle wearer. For the first year from the date of purchase, the entire Leica Eyecare Series has an anti-scratch guarantee. Wearers of progressive lenses will also receive replacement lenses in the event of breakage, theft or loss within 72 hours no matter where in Europe. An adaptation guarantee over six months after receiving your lenses is also part of the extensive warranty package.
